Regina Campbell founded Performing Arts Physical Therapy, PC in 1996 to provide specialized care for musicians. She has been a practicing physical therapist since 1982 and has concentrated her clinical practice in care for musicians since 1991. She is certified by the Performing Arts Medicine Association and the American Academy of Sports Medicine in Performing Arts Health. Her practice focuses on the Mind-Body connection for musicians and its role in health and performance. Treatment techniques that Regina utilizes include myofascial release, massage, pain modalities, core strengthening and peak performance training with musical instruments. In addition to the treatment of physical pain, Regina makes recommendations for musical instrument adaptation when necessary and teaches stress management techniques.
Outside of the clinic, Regina is a frequent guest lecturer on injury prevention and wellness strategies, and provides onsite musculoskeletal screens at a number of local music conservatories, preparatory music programs and orchestras; she regularly presents at international preforming arts medicine conferences. Regina is on the Board of Directors of the Performing Arts Medicine Association, and is chair of the Regional Conference Committee. In her free time, Regina plays the piano, hikes, gardens, and is a music enthusiast. She is an avid concert attendee and particularly enjoys seeing her clients perform!
