Women's Health Services

Regina see a variety of women's health issues at Performing Arts Physical Therapy. One-on-one sessions provide women the opportunity to address their concerns in a quiet clinic atmosphere. Conditions seen are:

  • Shoulder rehabilitation and general fitness following breast cancer care
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder effects on the musculoskeletal system
  • Osteoporosis
  • Overuse syndrome resulting from computer use
  • TMJ dysfunction
  • Migrane headaches
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome and back pain during pregnancy
  • Post-partum DeQuervian's Tenosynovitis
  • Upper extremity and back pain resulting from breast feeding or general care of the newborn

Regina utilizes myofascial release, massage, and joint mobilization to promote healing and wellness. Postural work—including principles from the Pilates Method—is an integral part of the rehabilitation process. Ergonomic-specific positioning is reviewed, and splinting and assistive devices are utilized when necessary. Fitness programs are designed to prevent re-injury.
